The original name for my blog was going to be Lipgloss & Louboutins, because I am obsessed with both. Having dedicated many a post to the famous shoe brand, today I’m talking yummy ice cream shades of pastel lip gloss. Lip gloss is essential for a pretty pout. There is even something termed “the lipstick effect” which infers that when budgets are squeezed, people simply substitute large extravagances for small luxuries. That’s why women go out and buy lipsticks in times of recession. The “lipstick effect” can be traced back to the Great Depression of the 1930’s. In the four years from 1929 to 1933, industrial production in the US halved, but sales of cosmetics rose. Anyway, back to business…

From left to right we have MAC Pro Longwear Lipglass in Patience, PleaseNYX Sheer Gloss in Dandy and L’oréal Colour Riche le Gloss in Baby Blossom.
