Hello and welcome to my first blog post! It has been cold in Johannesburg (where we are in the middle of winter), so I decided to do a winter outfit pairing.
I used essential winter pieces like a blazer, some boots and a statement scarf. Blazers are the go-to staple in my wardrobe. They can be classy and smart in darker colours, fun and playful in bright, bold colours like emerald green, fuchsia and coral and sexy in lace! They instantly add a stylish element to just about any outfit and keep you warm! You can wear this timeless item with jeans, shorts, a dress, leggings, a skirt… the options are endless. Another staple in my wardrobe for winter are my knee-high suede studded boots. The gold studs add some interest to the boot, making it somewhat dressy. This gives me the option to either dress them up or down. Lastly, the statement scarf is a real life saver in the colder months. I tend to swap neck pieces for scarves in winter, for warmth reasons. Because scarves become my accessories, I like to make sure they are colourful and fun, to ensure that they take my outfit to the next level. I love scarves in leopard print (I own 6 in varying colours!), snake print, skull print and colourful tribal prints.
This outfit is a really easy one to mix and match – and all the pieces are interchangeable. For example, you could wear a coral tank top underneath, with a purple floral scarf or a pink tank with an emerald green, black and bright lime green tribal print scarf. You could also have fun with blazers or leggings in different colours!
